I am also using these AirPods, and the performance is definitely better than the previous generation. I bought mine for $250 when they weren’t on sale, but I’m posting this because I think now is the perfect opportunity if you’re looking to change your earphones.
I was surprised by how much the noise-canceling technology has improved while using it this time. I can truly hear nothing at all.
It blocks out ambient noise not only for music but also during phone calls, so the person I’m talking to has no idea if my surroundings are noisy. The only downside is that when I make a call in a very loud place, it suppresses the background noise so much that my own voice sounds a bit quieter as well.
I was also satisfied that the ear tip sizes are more subdivided this time. My girlfriend’s ears are very small and mine are very large, so earphones usually fall out easily and don’t fit well, which made them uncomfortable during exercise or long periods of use. However, these were significantly comfortable.
They say it even supports simultaneous interpretation, but to be honest, I haven’t been able to use this feature yet, so it’s hard for me to say much about it. Still, the fact that you can utilize a feature like this, rather than not having it at all, would be a point of differentiation from other earphones, wouldn’t it?
